Water Saving Campaign 2026: THE BIGGEST DROPPERTOAS’s water-saving competition has begun! The goal is simple: reduce your water consumption through small everyday actions and raise awareness of how each of us can make a difference. The building that reduces its water consumption the most will be rewarded and residents can influence the prize themselves!

In 2025, TOAS’s water consumption increased by approximately 45 million liters compared to 2024, which is equivalent to about 18 Olympic swimming pools of water. This is a significant change, and if consumption does not decrease, the increased costs may also be reflected in rents in the future. That is why everyone’s contribution truly matters. When you calculate the small everyday choices made by each of TOAS’s nearly 10,000 residents, we are already talking about large amounts of water saved.

Easy ways to save water

🚰 Report leaks without delay. A leaking toilet can waste hundreds of litres of water every day.

🚿 Take shorter showers. Reducing your shower time by five minutes can save around 60 litres of water.

🪥 Don’t leave the tap running while brushing your teeth. Only use water when you actually need it.

🧺 Run full loads in washing machines and dishwashers.

As the competition progresses, we have rewarded the leading locations with small prizes.

In some locations, you can monitor your own water consumption directly in myTOAS.
During the competition, we will share updates on how each locations’s water consumption has changed.
The calculations are based on a comparison with the actual consumption figures from 2025.

The location that achieves the biggest reduction in water consumption in 2026 will be rewarded.

The prize value can be as much as €2,000.
Tenants will also have the opportunity to influence what the prize will be.

Locations without comparison data from the previous year (new developments and extensively renovated locations) are not eligible to participate in the water-saving competition unfortunately.

However, we encourage all tenants to take part in the campaign and save water through small everyday actions.
