In 2025, TOAS’s water consumption increased by approximately 45 million liters compared to 2024, which is equivalent to about 18 Olympic swimming pools of water. This is a significant change, and if consumption does not decrease, the increased costs may also be reflected in rents in the future. That is why everyone’s contribution truly matters. When you calculate the small everyday choices made by each of TOAS’s nearly 10,000 residents, we are already talking about large amounts of water saved.
Easy ways to save water:
- Make quickly a fault report of leaks. A leaking toilet can waste hundreds of liters of water per day.
- Shorten your shower time. By shortening your shower by five minutes, you can save approximately 60 liters of water.
- Don’t leave the tap running while brushing your teeth, but only use water when you really need it.
Track your consumption
In some buildings, you can check your personal water usage directly in OmaTOAS. During the competition, we will share updates on how water consumption in each building is decreasing.
The Prize
In 2026, the building that reduces its water consumption the most will be rewarded. The value of the prize can be up to 2 000 €. Residents can influence what the prize should be.
