Pinja
Pinja is an old hotel, so all the rooms are exceptionally well equipped. The rooms include an individual bathroom with a toilet, a small “minibar” refrigerator and a microwave. There is a small grocery store next to the building and all the services of the city center are available just a few steps away. This location is mainly for international exchange students.
The location will operate as a summer hotel during the summer. NOTE! There is a restaurant in the ground floor of the building, that may cause some noise disturbance to some rooms. This is taken into account in the rents of those rooms. The restaurant has a terrace in the inner yard patio, it will be open in the spring and in the fall, so some noise will be heard from the area to the apartments. Due to the central location and restaurant/bar noises, the location is not recommended for students looking for the most peaceful building, nor for families with children. The rooms are rented for fixed period and the tenancy agreements will end either on 31 December or 31 May. The rooms will be normally rented from August 15th (4th floor) OR September 1st (2nd and 3rd floor) onwards. The location operates as a summer hotel (summer hotel Aurora) from June to the middle of August.

Rooms are equipped with a minibar (a semi-cool mini “fridge”) as well as a microwave. 3rd floor common kitchen is equipped with a standard stove with an oven, cooker hood, refridgerator-freezer, dishwashing machine and a microwave. Dishwasher and laundry machines cannot be installed in the rooms. Each room is equipped with all light fixtures and fire alarms required by the law (directly connected to the fire department). All rooms are furnished, the furniture may differ from flat to flat. All apartments have a bed (with a mattress), duvet and a pillow, a desk and chair and curtains. Beds in the studio flats are 90-120 cm wide whereas the family apartments have a double bed.
The bigger apartments might include other furniture such as sofas, tables and chairs. It is not allowed to move furniture from one apartment to another or swap anything between them. It is not possible to request extra furnishing from TOAS. Waste collection point is located in the parking hall, entrance inside the building through the door next to the main entrance of the building or outside through the door next to the parking hall entrance on Aleksanterinkatu. Pinja is inaccessible for anyone with physical disabilities.
