Spring cleaning your home
26.04.2021Spring is a great time to put your home in order. Now is a good time to do at least the following:
1. Recycle your extra stuff
The tenant committees of our premises often order a skip for residents. You can take your unnecessary furniture and other items to the skip to tidy up your home and recycle things you no longer need.
2. Spring cleaning at the bicycle storage
Bicycle storages tend to fill up. Cleaning up the storage and only using it for bikes you actually ride makes them more usable for everyone. So, keep an eye on your e-mail and the notice board of your building for news of cleaning up.
3. Check behind appliances
The back side of refrigerators, freezers and stoves are guaranteed to gather up dust and dirt. Make sure to clean these pesky nooks at least once a year because dust can block up the condensers of the devices. This can start a fire, at worst. Cleaning your bathroom floor drain and the grease filter of your stove should also not be postponed, even if they aren’t your favourite spring pastimes.
4. Cleaner windows for a clearer view
The spring summer is lovely, but unforgiving on stains. The best time to wash your windows is on a sunny day. It’ll be nice to watch summer come through your newly washed windows.
