The first new degree places for the autumn are being announced, and the hunt for an apartment in Tampere is slowly gaining momentum.
Therefore, submit your apartment application as soon as the great news about your degree place has been confirmed. New students starting their studies will be given priority in the shared apartments and family apartments to be vacant in August-September. We prioritize new students from outside of Tampere.
It is advisable to apply for housing in as large an area as possible. A shared apartment is the most likely option at the beginning of the studies, as you will have to wait a long time for a studio apartment. New students who are just starting their studies are also prioritised in the application process for shared apartments. If you want to make sure that you have a home as soon as you start your studies, it is advisable to accept the first apartment offer that you receive.
If you reject the offer, you will return to the last place in the system and you will have to make a completely new application. Even if you do not get the exact apartment you want right away, you can always submit a new application for your preferred location and apartment type. Good things are worth waiting for!
