The plan for Rauhaniemi has been confirmed in the fall of 2018. The project for demolition and replacement of the Rauhaniemi houses with new buildings has progressed so that demolition work for the first houses, Rauhaniementie 28 and 20, is scheduled to begin in late 2022 and early 2023. The project will be carried out in stages, one house at a time. The entire project is expected to be completed in 2027.

The kitchen includes a stove and a refrigerator. Some apartments have connections for a washing machine and/or a dishwasher. The suitability of the dishwasher or a washing machine can only be found out on the spot. Flats are equipped with kitchen desktop and bathroom light fixtures as well as fire alarms required by the law.
The property storages are not numbered for apartments so tenants have to choose an available storage, buy a lock on it and mark the storage with their apartment number to show who it belongs to.
