When arriving to Finland from abroad

Please always follow official instructions and guidelines given by the authorities on how to to deal with corona virus related issues. In Finland the official national authority is the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

Students who are under quarantine can’t visit TOAS office. Do not visit the office if you are sick or have any mild symptoms. Please use email and phone service.

You can ask a tutor or authorize someone to pick up your keys before you arrive.

If you arrive in Finland from a travel restricted country, it is recommended you self-quarantine for 14 days. Finnish institute for health and welfare (THL) keeps a list of countries approved for travel to Finland. Please check the current situation on THL’s pages before arriving.

Living in a shared apartment

You are allowed to move to your TOAS apartment during your 14 day quarantine. Remember to wash your hands thoroughly and often, cough or sneeze to a tissue or your sleeve, keep safe distance to others and get yourself tested if you think you might have the virus. Always follow official recommendations given by the Finnish health authority THL.

Speak with your roommates to organize daily living in the apartment during the quarantine.
