This year, we are rewarding those who shape up with recycling

For the past few years, tenant committees have organised a campaign that encourages tenants to be more economical with their water use. In 2019, our water consumption was reduced by 4,940 m3 compared to last year, which equals approximately 2.2% of our total consumption. Rewards were paid to the tenant committees of 25 locations.

 Now, our aim is to reduce the amount of waste that ends up abandoned in stairways and at waste collection points. Did you know that the abandoned furniture and other items can cost us up to EUR 80,000 a year? This year, TOAS will reward the locations that reduce their expensive transportations of abandoned furniture and items. We also reward those locations that are able to keep the furniture pick-ups at zero. We will share more details about the recycling campaign in February.
